In 2014, 18 students from Mandurah Baptist College travelled to Yogyakarta on an ACICIS Indonesia School Tour. The trip was a great experience for the students.
Mr Tavish Redgrave, the Indonesian teacher at the college was very happy with the tour that was provided:
“The tour provided an opportunity where students could fall in love with Indonesia. It has played an important role in the strategy I have developed at my school for developing the Indonesian program. It proved a good drawcard for increasing class numbers in the post compulsory language years.“
At the end of the program, students were asked to fill out a survey with feedback about their trip in Indonesia. Here are some comments the students said:
“The Indonesian tour was an enjoyable, memorable experience, which helped me learn about culture, language, and made loads of friends and met friendly people.“
“I loved every single second, thank you so much for am amazing experience.“
“My experience in Indonesia was amazing! I did so many things that I wouldn’t be able to do in Australia, and I met so many new people.“
“Learning about Indonesia has never been so much fun.“
