Q: Why did you decide to undertake the ACICIS program?
To have a cross-culture study, work and life experience in Indonesia. Indonesia is an important country in Asia in terms of its economic growth and international trade.
Q: How will the Professional Practicum benefit or influence your future career?
It will enlarge my vision for my career options. Before I mainly focused on Australia and China, by having this experience, I can gain more insight on another important country in Asia.
Q: What organisation will you be interning with? (Explain your roles and responsibilities)
My organisation is Pacific Place. My role is to facilitate the marketing communications team with their marketing campaigns, communication tools and collect data and information to support the CRM and PR teams at Pacific Place.
Q: How have you found the work culture of your host organisation? How is it different to work experience in Australia?
The corporate culture here promotes ‘esprit de corps’, encourages teamwork, emphasises respect to each other and reward exceptional performers. Depending on which kind of organisations in Australia to compare to, there are numerous similarities, except language difference and a higher level of collectivism culture.
