2015 New Colombo Plan Funding

As the outcomes of the 2015 funding round of the Commonwealth Government’s New Colombo Plan Mobility Program have now been announced, we thought you might be interested to know that the Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) has successfully secured $608,900 of mobility grant funding to support students to study in Indonesia on ACICIS programs during 2015-2016.

This funding will provide 111 mobility grants, as well as an additional 20 internship grants, to Australian undergraduate students from 12 of the consortium’s 23 member universities to support student participation in four existing ACICIS programs, as well as one new ACICIS study option to be offered in 2016.

Specifically, the funding will support students from The Australian National University, Curtin University, Flinders University, Griffith University, Monash University, RMIT University, The University of Adelaide, UNSW (The University of New South Wales), University of the Sunshine Coast, University of Sydney, University of Tasmania, and The University of Western Australia – UWA to undertake the following ACICIS programs in 2015 and 2016:

• Business Professional Practicum (six-week short course), Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya – Jakarta;
• Development Studies Immersion Program (semester), UGM – Universitas Gajah Mada;
• International Relations Program (semester), at Parahyangan Catholic University;
• Islamic Business, Law and Society Program (semester), Universitas Islam Indonesia;Aust
• *NEW* Agriculture, Food Science and Resource Management Program (semester), TBA.
