This immersive program, designed to provide students with real-world insights and hands-on experience in the creative industry landscape of Indonesia, has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on all involved.
Throughout the duration of the program, participants had the opportunity to delve deep into various facets of the creative arts and design realm. From exploring traditional Indonesian art forms to engaging with contemporary design trends, every moment was a chance for growth and discovery. The program’s unique blend of academic study, industry placements, and cultural immersion provided a holistic learning experience that transcended the boundaries of conventional education.
One of the program’s highlights was undoubtedly the opportunity for participants to undertake professional placements with leading creative organisations in Indonesia. A massive thank you to our amazing host organisations for CADPP 2024, Galeri Nasional Indonesia (Galnas), Museum MACAN, Future Creative Network (HUDHUD and OU Creative), Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), Lanting Animation, Two Islands Digital (2ID), and Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) for the hospitality and mentorship you provided to our students. These placements allowed students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical settings and fostered valuable connections and networks within the industry. Whether working with local artisans, collaborating on design projects, or assisting with creative campaigns, participants gained invaluable insights into the inner workings of Indonesia’s vibrant creative ecosystem.
Beyond the professional placements, cultural immersion was a cornerstone of the program. From exploring the bustling streets of Jakarta to experiencing the rich cultural tapestry of Yogyakarta, participants were fully immersed in the sights, sounds, and flavours of Indonesia. Through cultural excursions, language classes, and interactions with local communities, students gained a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultural heritage of the archipelago.
Moreover, the program fostered a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie among participants. Bonding over shared experiences and mutual passions, friendships that transcended cultural and geographical boundaries were forged. These connections enriched the program experience and laid the foundation for future collaborations and partnerships in the global creative community.
As participants bid farewell to Indonesia and return to their home countries, they carry with them a treasure trove of memories, skills, and insights garnered during their time with ACICIS. Armed with newfound knowledge and experiences, they are poised to make meaningful contributions to the ever-evolving landscape of the creative arts and design industry.
