Michelle Tjugito
Program Assistant
Michelle joins ACICIS as a Program Assistant to assist with the Professional Practicum programs in Jakarta. Michelle earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. From the beginning, she gradually developed her expertise in indigenous, marginalised, and heterogeneous communities.
She demonstrated her interest through a collaborative project with the largest indigenous community in Indonesia by developing an intervention plan tailored accordingly to their needs. To further deepen her skills in this area, she successfully obtained a leadership scholarship to attend a symposium in Kuala Lumpur. Throughout the symposium she was immersed in various critical discussions and interactive activities with needy communities as a means to develop a more inclusive and sustainable society.
Michelle also joined ACICIS as a Liaison Officer in 2017-2019 as well as an intern in 2018, and finally as a Program Assistant in 2022. Through ACICIS she further develops her interest and expertise, specifically accentuates the need for looking at the world through the lens of other cultures.
